The Plastic Corals is part of the interdisciplinary exhibition Making Crisis Visible, which combines science, art, and design. This exhibition was held from February 11 to June 2, 2020, at the Senckenberg Natural History Museum.
“Xinyu Chen, Chunhua Chen and Tania Felske have been preparing their project for the show, one of the most spectacular of 50 works of art, for a long time. For almost a year they collected whatever they could get their hands on, plastic from the home, from the university, they even picked up plastic waste from the street - and with selfless, detailed work they formed a gigantic work of art out of it: the "Plastic Coral".”
